Important news for UAE-CHINA Travelers:-

UAE flights UPDATE: New covid guidelines announced for UAE-CHINA Travelers. As of January 08, 2023, the UAE Embassy of China tweeted that the China travel policies were changed. There are some changes in UAE flights to China restrictions.

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the People's Republic of China would like to state citizens and travellers that as of January 8, 2013, China's travel policies will be changed:

-Take nucleic acid test (Negative PCR) 48 hours before their departure.

As China opened its border to other Asian countries, there are few restrictions on UAE flights, which is taking a COVID -19 PCR test before traveling.

Results should be submitted 48 hours before the flight. If the test turns out to be negative; only then the passengers are allowed to travel or cross the border. In case of a negative result, the person needs to show the certificate to China customs. If the result turns out to be positive then the person needs to wait until the result turns out negative. As Covid again has become a barrier for citizens to travel, we need to be careful.

So let me explain it to you.

UAE FLIGHTS TO CHINA: The PCR test

This test simply indicates if your blood sample contains the SARS-cov-2(positive in result) which suggests that the person may develop covid 19 .
Some people have the viral infection without developing symptoms of
the disease.

Now, how is the PCR test done ?
Giving a sample for a PCR test usually takes a few minutes.
First the person in question needs to fill the form with their required
information like name, date of birth etc. The next step is included with
giving out the test sample which will be directed by a healthcare
professional.

The various test sample taken out from your body includes:-

• Nasal swab: from the back of the nose and throat.
• Nasal and turbinate swab: from deep inside the nostril.
• Saliva: giving this sample involves spitting saliva in a tube and or in a beaker.
• Blood: Certain types of PCR tests require a blood sample, collected from a vein through injection.

After getting all kinds of samples they just simply perform a test on it to check if the sample contains SARS-COV- 2 or not.

This test is just a process and people should not be so panicked about it, as it’s for safety measures only.

In addition, the passengers must take self-protection measures, wear masks during travel, strengthen self-prevention in public places such as airports, maintain proper distance and cooperate with the airline for in-flight epidemic control.
